In the first week of June, 56 children from the 3rd grade traveled to Salzburg to attend a language camp organized by SFA. Upon arrival, they were warmly greeted by their four Native Speakers which came from America, Canada, the United Kingdom and Brazil. After a welcome dance and a “Get to Know” game, the first day ended at the “Therme Amade” where the children had a lot of fun trying out the different slides. On the second day, the children were divided into different English groups and started with their lessons. They prepared a weather show, learned American slang, developed a product and learned how to sell it, and tried traditional sports from America and the UK. On Wednesday the children visited the old town of Radstadt and the day ended with a campfire, music, and marshmallows. On the last day, all Native Speakers and the four teachers from the MS Ternitz slipped into different roles and the children had to uncover a murder case through interviews. The highlight of the week was the awarding of certificates and the Bad Taste Party in the disco room. The four accompanying teachers Julia Mayer, Cornelia Mayerhofer, Ingrid Heißenberger and Bianca Schauer would like to thank SFA and the Native Speakers for an amazing and unforgettable week.
